New Gorillaz album - Plastic Beach

I like Gorillaz - my favorite band member is Russell, the drummer, percussionist and DJ.  These guys are dropping a new album (cover below) titled Plastic Beach in March (seems so far off), but they have released a new single titled "Stylo" featuring Bobby Womack and Mos Def.  After reading this, I thought;  "hmm...interesting combination".  But yours truly has a sneak peek/download of the track here.  Sounds like something the BBoys and kids on ABDC would have alot of fun with....oh yeah, you're welcome!!

Keeping busy......

...with designing some business cards.  There's quite a bit of thought that goes into putting these cards together.  Anyway, here are a couple of the designs I put together.......

New Year

So, its Twenty-10!!  No New Year's Resolutions from yours truly!!  Only wishing to continue the art output and share it with you...hopefully it will inspire you to contact me for some artwork (hint hint)  LOL!!

Digital Art & Creation

This is something I've been struggling with for a while.  Creating art using digital mediums (photoshop, illustrator, corel painter, etc).  The whole purpose of getting this big fancy MacBook Pro two years ago was for me to dive in head first into the world of graphic art & design.  While I have learned more in the apparent limitless world of Adobe, my biggest limitation is the current version of Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator I'm using, CS....that's it!!  No CSI, CS II, yep just plain old CS.  Not to mention the version of Illustrator is a basic trial version that includes no bells or whistles.  Perhaps Santa will bless me with a new version for Christmas this year??  Hmmmmmm.....

Just got my hands on an advance copy of this album (snippets).  With guest appearances by Nicole Wray, Billy Danze (1 half of M.O.P.), RZA and Ludacris, The Black Crowes laid down some bluesy/funky/soulfulness that dares you NOT to nod your head!!  Add a splash of hip-hop and some nice R&B hooks, this compilation will subtly ooze cool from your speakerbox!
