Raheem DeVaughn "Bulletproof"
Raheem DeVaughn is an artist that I feel is overlooked. In his new video, he channels a lil Marvin Gaye (think "Trouble Man", "Inner City Blues) and a lil Curtis Mayfield! Featuring a nice verse from Ludacris; I think one of his better verses in a LOOOOONG time....but here's the vid....check it out!!!

I'd like to start a lil something new called "whutzreellyguud?!". Basically, its anything found on the web that gives insight to good stuff that pertains to comics, art, good music and colture. And...away we go!!

Go Flying Squirrels!! (??)
So, my beloved Richmond Braves are no longer affiiated with the Atlanta Braves. A nice little "storied" franchise that brought such prominent players (and future managers) such as Dusty Baker, Tom Glavine, Deion Sanders, John Smoltz (aka Major Heat, Sgt. Fastball), Jermaine Dye, Chipper Jones, Dale Murphy and the list could go on.
Now, we're affiliated with the San Francisco Giants, whom I call "the Baseball Giants, formerly of New York". Talk about a demographic adjustment!? Not only that, they've renamed the team, the Flying Squirrels....er....HUH?? Yep, beware the rabid Flying Squirrels of Richmond!!! They'll swoop down and naw your pitcher's eyebrows as they steal third to set up the hit and run, which should be referenced at home games as the "hit and swoop"!! LOL!!
However, the name does *filter* stink */filter*, but it got me to thinking, there must be other schools with worse, or more *filter* stinkier */filter* names or mascots than the Flying Squirrels? Right? Oh, yes there are several team names that are just as bad....oh, there is a list!!!
Temple Owls - Hoo (!!) Owls? Really, c'mon man...owls....the nocturnal bird that hangs out in barns and eats vermin?!
Stanford Cardinal - The mascot is a big ass tree....correction, a really big ass stupid looking tree!
South Carolina Game Cocks - Their fans can frequently be seen around campus with paraphernalia that says "Cocks"......yeah, point made!!
Memphis Grizzlies (formerly Vancouver Grizzlies) and Toronto Raptors - in the mid 90s the NBA granted two expansion franchises in Canada (why?), and apparently on the hype of Jurassic Park named the Raptors of Toronto, and continued the cheesey theme with the Grizzlies, with horrendous jersey designs for both teams!!
Not to mention the exhausted usage of bulldogs, wildcats, tigers, etc. For once, I wish someone would name a team appropriately what the town or state is known for, or even an animal that is frequent to the area!! For instance, The Newark Bears? Really, when was the last time you saw a bear in Newark?? Okay, there was a bear loose in Bergen in 2008, but Newark Bears?? New York Knickerbockers...they're named after an article of clothing (baggy socks)!!
